Hearts may face Rix investigation
Hearts head coach Graham Rix
Rix was brought in to replace the sacked George Burley
The SFA may ask Hearts to explain their appointment of head coach Graham Rix - a convicted sex offender.

The Daily Record reports that East Fife chairman Derek Brown has written to the SFA General Purpose Committee asking whether Rix is fit for management.

Brown has raised his objections under rule 10 of the articles of association.

The regulation states the SFA have the right to question whether any office bearer at a club is a fit and proper person to hold such a position.

Rix served a 12-month jail sentence in 1999 for unlawful sex with a 15-year-old girl and indecent assault.

An SFA spokesman said: "It is automatic procedure that any appointment goes to the General Purposes Committee. This is standard practice."

Speaking of Rix's position being discussed at the SFA's council meeting, he added: "It was mentioned at the council meeting last week but anything more than that is speculation."
