Hartlepool United defender Ritchie Humphreys will serve a three-match ban for his red card in Saturday's 0-0 FA Cup draw with Vauxhall Motors.
Pools failed in their appeal to the Football Association against the dismissal, leaving Humphreys facing the first suspension of his career.
The 32-year-old was sent off after 86 minutes of the game after a challenge with Motors goalkeeper Scott Tynan.
Humphreys has made 457 appearances for Pools during his nine-year spell.
