Wilson is looking to change his squad during the summer break
Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson has warned his players he is considering a summer shake-up of his squad following the disappointing end to this season.
"There are players who looked very good last year are not as good in this division," he told BBC Tees.
"They need some harsh words. Two years ago some players struggled in this league and they're doing so again.
"You hope you can strengthen your team and bring players in who know they can handle this division and beyond it."
Pools have won just once in the last seven games and Wilson was left fuming by their profligacy against Brighton.
"We could have been three up at half time. We've had some great chances," he said.
"The keeper should never have seen Craig Liddle's effort. We've had a couple we didn't hit the target with, we've had things we've mis-kicked in front of goal.
"Then a looping ball comes into the box and we don't deal with it. The lad gets a free header and puts it in."
