Millen played under Billy Reid at Clyde before signing for St Mirren

Former St Mirren assistant manager Andy Millen has joined Hamilton Accies as assistant to manager Billy Reid.

Millen ended his playing career with St Mirren in 2008 and stayed on as assistant alongside Gus MacPherson.

When MacPherson left Love Street in May this year, Millen departed to let new boss Danny Lennon appoint his own team.

"It was always my intention to work with Andy at some point in the future," Billy Reid told BBC Scotland. "He'll be a great addition to our backroom team."
