Grimsby Town manager Neil Woods says he would welcome the chance to take Scunthorpe United utility man Andrew Wright on loan for a second time.
Wright, 25, spent two months at Blundell Park earlier this season, returning to the Iron in November.
Woods told BBC Radio Humberside: "I haven't hidden the fact what I think of Andrew but I think his aspirations would be to play at a higher level.
"It's wrong to speak about another club's player but you never say never."
Wright, who joined Scunthorpe after playing for West Virginia University in the United States, played nine games for the Mariners, scoring one goal.
