Mariners in stadium plea to fans
Grimsby Town
Grimsby Town have urged fans to contact their local authority with their views about their planned new stadium.

In January, the Mariners submitted a planning application for a proposed 20,100-seater stadium and hotel complex with parking for 1,300 vehicles.

However, some residents from nearby Great Coates have raised objections to North-East Lincolnshire Council.

The council is due to make a decision on the planning application in late summer or early autumn.

The Mariners have played at their current Blundell Park home - which is situated in Cleethorpes, three miles from the planned new ground - since 1899.
