Grays Athletic have bolstered their squad by signing nine players just four days before the start of the season.

Among the new faces are three former servants of the Bridge Road club - defenders Ken Davis, Ronnie Bull and Cameron Mawer.

Also joining the Blues are goalkeepers Billy Lumley and Preston Edwards, defender Fred Murray plus midfielders Adriano Rigoglioso and Sam Cutler.

Completing the new signings is experienced striker Lee McEvilly.

McEvilly, 27, has a single cap for Northern Ireland and spent last season with Cambridge United and Rochdale, but ended the season on-loan at Barrow.

Returnee Mawer, 23, made 28 appearances for Grays Athletic between 2005 and 2008, before joining Weymouth.

Meanwhile, 28-year-old defender Ronnie Bull spent a short spell with the south Essex side during the middle of the 2006/07 season.

Grays are set to start their 2009/10 campaign against Chester on Saturday, should the Cheshire club be granted a licence by the Football Association.
