Grays Athletic have signed striker Fabian Batchelor after he was released by Essex neighbours Colchester United.
The 19-year-old joins the Blue Square Premier side on non-contract terms as Grays seek to bolster their squad in a bid to beat relegation.
Batchelor, a product of Colchester's youth team, was released by the U's last week.
He never appeared for the first team, but did see action during a loan spell with Welling United last season.
