Grays Athletic manager Wayne Burnett feels their disrupted start to 2009 is not helping their relegation battle.
Postponements and cancellations mean the Blue Square Premier side will have played only three matches in January.
He told BBC Essex: "Before we played Burton we'd a 10 or 12 day break and again now we have another 10-day break.
"It's not helpful as we want to be playing games, we don't want to get left behind, we need to put points on the board."
"It's difficult when you're not playing competitively, but we've got 10 days or so to regroup and work on some stuff and hopefully go from there," he added.
Grays will not play a competitive game until they host Crawley Town on 7 February.
