Colchester 0-1 Southend

Franck Moussa scored his first goal in English football to give Southend victory over Essex rivals Colchester.

The teenager scored early in the match when he converted Theo Robinson's first-time cross from close range.

Defender Pat Baldwin missed a glorious chance to level when squandered he ballooned over the bar from two yards.

Shrimpers goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall made a fine save to deny Mark Yeates, while Steven Gillespie headed wide from a unmarked position.
