Grays Athletic are to appeal against the Football Association's decision to make them pay �14,000 in unpaid wages to jailed ex-player Ashley Sestanovich.

The club have confirmed they will lodge an appeal before the 1700 GMT deadline on Wednesday.

The announcement follows a meeting between the club's chairman Mick Woodward and the FA at Soho Square.

The club have also said that until the appeal ruling is made, all fixtures will be fulfilled as planned.
