New Grays Athletic boss Frank Gray has returned to former club Farnborough Town to sign defender Jay Smith. Smith has agreed a two-year contract at Grays after reaching the end of his current deal at Cherrywood Road.
The defender, 24, started his career with Brentford and made over 50 appearances for the Bees before joining Farnborough in October 2004.
Smith is Gray's second signing since replacing Mark Stimson, following the arrival of winger Ashley Sestanovich.
