Mark Stimson is hoping for a Premier League club in the draw.
Gillingham manager Mark Stimson wants a potential glamour FA Cup third round tie to help inspire his team to beat Stockport in their second round replay.
Saturday's first meeting between the teams finished goalless at Priestfield.
And Stimson told BBC Radio Kent: "We've got to go away to Edgeley Park and get a win, which not many teams have done this year.
"But let's see who we pull out of the hat in the draw. That could give us the incentive we need," he said.
"We would love to have gone through at the first hurdle.
"And I thought we edged the first half - but I'm just pleased to be in the hat. That has not happened to the club in a few years.
"First choice would be Manchester United for financial reasons and to give some of my players a chance to pit themselves against their superstars. After that I'd like to be greedy and say Tottenham because they're my team."
The Gills were last in the third round draw in the 2004/5 season, when they still qualified automatically as members of the Championship, losing 1-0 to Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
