Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has disputed chairman Paul Scally's claims the side lacked effort in their last away game at Exeter on 4 October.
In his programme notes for Saturday's game with Morecambe, Scally criticised the Gills players for their 3-0 defeat.
Referring to the game he wrote: "I hurt when we lose but I hurt more when I sense there is a lack of effort."
Stimson told BBC Radio Kent: "I would not say it was a lack of effort, it was more like bad decisions with the ball."
The Gills boss added: "Maybe they weren't the right words the chairman wanted to use but he's got his opinions, I've got mine.
"We are on the same road and we want to get this club back to where we should be."
You can hear live commentary of Bradford v Gillingham on Saturday 18 October at 1500 BST on BBC Radio Kent.
