Svetoslav Todorov salvaged a point for Charlton as they fought back to denied Burnley victory at The Valley.
Burnley thought they had scored when Martin Paterson fired in but the goal was ruled out for offside after the referee spoke to his assistant.
Five minutes later, Steve Thompson put the visitors ahead when he diverted in Joey Gudjonsson's shot.
Charlton equalised when Grant Basey whipped in a free-kick and substitute Todorov thumped in a header.

"We got together at half-time and made a couple of changes, and I think we had reached the bottom of the barrel.
"But in the second half we were better. The draw feels like a win."
Burnley manager Owen Coyle:"It was a terrific match for the Championship. We dominated the first half and should have been out of sight by half-time.
"Then we switched of at a set-play and paid the price. But it shows how far we have come that we are disappointed."
