Mulligan has extended his stay at Gillingham

Gillingham striker Gary Mulligan has signed a new one-year contract for the 2008/09 season.

The 23-year-old made 30 league appearances for the Gills last season scoring five goals.

The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international joined the Kent club on loan from Sheffield United in 2006 and made the move permanent that summer.

Mulligan has made 81 league appearances for the Gills and has scored 13 goals for the Priestfield outfit.
