Gills reveal their secret weapon

Gillingham

Gillingham boss Mark Stimson has revealed one of the secrets of his side's improved form - table tennis.

A number of the squad play the game, after training and the Gills boss says it has helped build team spirit.

Stimson told BBC Radio Kent: "It's a good game to play as it keeps you sharp and the standard at the club is decent.

"Me and our fitness man Danny Ellis take a bit of a battering, we take a bit of banter, but we take that as we give it out at the weekend."

Sources at the club say that captain Andrew Crofts and defender Simon King, as well as Stimson, are among the best ping-pong players at Priestfield.
