Boo me not Scally, says Stimson

Mark Stimson
Stimson has been Gillingham manager since November 2007

Manager Mark Stimson has told the Gillingham's fans to aim any abuse at him and not at chairman Paul Scally.

"Don't boo him, he's put a lot of time, money and effort into the club. I'll take it on my shoulders," Stimson told BBC Radio Kent.

Scally was one of the targets for supporters after the 3-0 home defeat to Crewe, which left them four points from safety in the drop zone.

"It was a bad day at the office, we now must win our next game," Stimson added.

Gillingham are at home to Bournemouth on Saturday.
