Boss Mark Stimson felt Gillingham paid for a lapse in concentration in their Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern area semi-final defeat against MK Dons. The Gills lost 5-4 on penalties after the game finished 1-1 in normal time.
"They were playing with the wind behind them in the first half and put us on the back foot," he told BBC Radio Kent.
"But we managed to go 1-0 ahead with 10 minutes to go and we just switched off and then it was a lottery in the penalties and we lost out."
