The injury-hit Gills have lost all three league games, plus a Carling Cup tie, although Mark Bentley did register their first goal of the season.

Jepson said: "We didn't get out of the traps - we were missing key players, but it was a disappointing performance.

"I do need some reinforcements though - we lost Simon King in the run-up, and it left me with just one first-team central defender."
