Jepson spent three years as a player at Huddersfield |
Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson has attempted to end speculation linking him with the vacancy at Huddersfield. "I spoke to the chairman this morning," Jepson, a former Terriers striker in his playing days, said after the Gills' 1-0 victory over Crewe on Saturday.
"Huddersfield have made contact with him, but he doesn't want to give them permission to speak to me.
"As far as I am concerned, I am the Gillingham manager and will be - and I haven't got any problems with that."
The Terriers have been without a boss since Peter Jackson was sacked last week.
Academy manager Gerry Murphy was placed in temporary charge, and guided them to a 2-0 win against West Yorkshire rivals Bradford on Saturday.
