Fulham sign Mexican Carlos Salcido from PSV Eindhoven
Salcido rattles Argentina bar
Fulham have completed the signing of Mexico international left-back Carlos Salcido from PSV Eindhoven.
The 30-year-old, who played in all four of his country's games at this summer's World Cup, has agreed a three-year deal reportedly worth £1.6m.
Cottagers manager Mark Hughes could be on the verge of losing first-choice left-back Paul Konchesky to Liverpool.
The Reds have been holding talks with 29-year-old Konchesky, so it appears Salcido will step into the breach.
PSV acquired Salcido from Guadalajara in 2006 after he had impressed the Dutch outfit during his four Mexico appearances at the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.
Earlier this week, Fulham confirmed the signing of 23-year-old Algerian defender Rafik Halliche from Benfica for an undisclosed fee.
