Coleman missed the draw with Man Utd |
Fulham boss Chris Coleman has had his return to work delayed as he battles to recover from a mystery virus. The 33-year-old has spent a week in hospital as doctors attempt to fully diagnose the illness which has targeted his right leg.
The Welshman was initially due for release on Thursday, but he is now hoping to be back for Saturday's FA Cup tie against Manchester United.
Coleman was taken to hospital last Tuesday and placed on a drip.
His assistant Steve Kean took charge for Tuesday's 3-0 FA Cup fifth-round replay victory at West Ham and Saturday's 1-1 home Premiership draw with the Red Devils.
Coleman sustained major leg injuries following a horrific car crash in January 2001.
The former Welsh international was forced to retire from playing football as a result of the damage to his legs.
