Forest Green new boys Mike Fowler and Andy Taylor enjoyed their debuts in the 3-1 friendly win against Charlton.
Striker Andy Mangan gave Rovers the perfect start with two goals inside 25 minutes and, after Chris Dickson pulled one back, David Brown scored a third.
Fowler, 27, a former Welsh youth international who began his career at Crystal Palace, came on at half-time.
Right-sided defender Taylor, 23, who signed from American side Austin Aztex, started and played 56 minutes.
