Forest Green offer six new deals

Forest Green Rovers

Forest Green Rovers have begun their planning for next season by offering new contracts to six of their squad.

Manager Jim Harvey is hoping to hold on to leading scorer Andy Mangan, Paul Stonehouse, Conal Platt, Jonathan Smith, Ben Ashford and Mark Preece.

As the six are all aged 24 or under Rovers will be entitled to compensation from the buying club if they move on.

Harvey will look to secure the services of other first-team members of the Rovers squad later in the summer.

Defender Stonehouse was awarded player of the season and Mangan, the Blue Square Premier Golden Boot winner, picked up the directors player of the year award at the club's end-of-season dinner and awards ceremony.

Rovers finished 18th in Blue Square Premier, eight points above relegated Woking.
