Forest Green's Jerry Gill will be out of action for at least four weeks after colliding with advertising hoardings in the club's 3-3 draw against Oxford.
Assistant boss Gill, who is on loan at the New Lawn from Cheltenham, suffered three fractures to the right side of his face moments before half-time.
The 38-year-old also sustained injuries to both of his knees.
He is set to spend three days in a specialist clinic in Worcester for an operation to insert a plate.
