Forest Green Rovers boss Gary Owers is delighted to be planning for a Conference National campaign after his side's reprieve from relegation. "It has given everyone a lift and we're very grateful for our bit of fortune," Owers told the Gloucester Citizen.
"We can look forward with optimism. The players will come back for training on 4 July with a spring in their step.
"But just spare a little thought for Northwich. Their supporters, manager and players must be devastated."
Northwich were sent down to Conference North instead of Rovers because of issues over their ground, bringing to an end two months of uncertainty.
Meanwhile, Forest Green will officially switch to full-time status for the first time on 4 July.
Last month, they appointed former player Owers as their new manager after a spell in charge of Bath City.
