Colin Healy has returned to the SPL with a loan move to Falkirk
Falkirk have signed Ipswich midfielder Colin Healy on loan until the end of the Scottish Premier League season.
The 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international has struggled to make an impact at Portman Road since moving from Cork City in July last year.
SPL rivals St Johnstone also made an offer to take him to McDiarmid Park.
Healy, who has earned 12 caps for his country, also enjoyed spells with Celtic, Coventry, Sunderland, Barnsley and Bradford.
The midfielder joined English Championship outfit Ipswich from Cork for an undisclosed fee last summer but has failed to establish himself under manager Roy Keane.
Eddie May's Falkirk are currently bottom of the SPL, two points behind managerless Kilmarnock.
