Falkirk are to sign French midfielder Toufik Zerara once they receive international clearance to play the 23-year-old who impressed on trial.
Zerara will be given a short-term contract until January - and the chance to earn himself a longer deal.
The midfielder, a former France Under-20 international, is a free agent after a season with Al Dhafra in the United Arab Emirates.
He will not be registered in time to play against Hibernian on Saturday.
International clearance is expected to come through next week for the former Sochaux youth player.
Zerara will become the third player that Bairns manager Eddie May has added to his squad outwith the transfer window.
Former West Brom midfielder Pele and former Falkirk forward Pedro Moutinho were both signed in recent weeks.
