Lee Bullen has returned to Scotland to sign for Falkirk
Falkirk have signed Lee Bullen and are closing in on Neil McCann.
Bullen, 37, left English Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday last month after his contract expired and has signed a two-year deal with the Bairns.
Wednesday's chief executive Kaven Walker said manager Brian Laws let Bullen leave to bring in youngsters.
McCann, 33, is poised to join the Bairns after an injury-plagued spell at Hearts as John Hughes looks to bolster his squad.
Bullen joined the Owls from Dunfermline in May 2004 and led the Owls to a League One play-off victory over Hartlepool at the Millennium Stadium in 2005.
Hughes signed former Aberdeen, Celtic and Dunfermline defender Jackie McNamara on Monday as he looks to bolster his squad for next season.
