Senderos would thrive - Goodlass

Philippe Senderos
Senderos wants regular first team football ahead of the 2010 World Cup

Former Everton winger Ronny Goodlass believes Blues boss David Moyes can improve Phillippe Senderos as a defender if the Swiss joins the club.

Everton are in talks with Arsenal about bringing the 24-year-old Switzerland international to Goodison Park.

"Senderos wants to be in the Swiss team and there is a World Cup next year," Goodlass told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"David Moyes can hopefully improve his career like he has done with Phil Jagielka and Joleon Lescott."

Goddlass feels a move to Merseyside for Senderos would suit both the club and the player.

"I think when you're at that stage in your career and at that age - you need regular football," continued Goodlass.

"Hopefully if he does come and he does get a regular run out every week, he can push on.

"It bodes well for Everton. We're helping his career and he's also helping the club to better things."
