Jagielka ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament on Saturday
Former Everton winger Ronny Goodlass believes Phil Jagielka has the character to come back from from his knee injury and return to top form.
Jagielka, 26, misses the FA Cup final next month after suffering the injury against Manchester City.
"He's a big character and he's got the character to come back," Goodlass told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"It would have been the highlight of his career to be going out at Wembley against Chelsea in the final."
Goodlass continued: "It's something that no footballer or sportsman wants. But on cup final day day you will feel for him.
"Jagielka has gone a long way to helping the club bring silverware back to Goodison Park. Hopefully he will be back as soon as possible and back to the form he's shown all season."
Hopefully Yobo can just step in and do what he did at Stamford Bridge and not give Didier Drogba a kick in the final

But the BBC Radio Merseyside summariser says the Blues have a ready made replacement for the defender in the form of Joseph Yobo.
The Nigerian was brought into the side in place of Jagielka when Everton met Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier in April when they drew 0-0.
"Yobo will be up for the task," added Goodlass.
"That's what David Moyes will go with. He'll have Yobo and Lescott at the back.
"Once you get that blue shirt you've just got to get on with it and perform. Hopefully Yobo can just step in and do what he did at Stamford Bridge and not give Didier Drogba a kick in the final."
