Everton midfielder Leon Osman wants his team-mates to put a consistent run of results together to stay in the top-half of the Premier League table.
The Blues are currently in seventh place, just four points off a Uefa Cup spot but only five points above the relegation zone.
Osman told BBC Radio Merseyside: "It's really tight at the minute and we've got to try and find a good run.
"We need to try and pull away and be in the top-half of the League."
Everton's 1-0 defeat at Wigan on Monday brought their five match unbeaten run to an end.
Osman, 27, added that the Blues must now focus all of their energies on their upcoming match at Tottenham on Sunday.
"All runs come to and end in football.
"We need to start a fresh one at Spurs and push on from there."
