Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish says his team need to raise their game to the standards expected of the Blue Square Bet Premier.
A midweek 2-0 defeat by Cambridge United has dropped the Fleet into the relegation zone and Daish admitted he is concerned with his performances.
"At this moment in time we are still in Conference South mode," he told BBC Radio Kent.
"The lads really need to step it up," he added.
Ebbsfleet have won only one game this season and are currently two points from safety in Blue Square Bet Premier.
However Fleet face fellow league strugglers Alfreton Town this weekend, and will move above them with a win, but Daish sent out a warning to his players.
"I think some of the players haven't upped their game to the standard of the league were in yet," he said.
"We've got to really sharpen up and cut out stupid mistakes."
