Eastbourne Borough have signed Brighton and Hove Albion defender Steve Cook on a one-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old, who can play at right-back or centre-back, made his debut for the Seagulls in their Carling Cup victory over Manchester City in 2008.
Boro assistant manager Nick Greenwood said: "He can play in a variety of positions across the backline.
"It's an ideal opportunity for both parties. It's good for his development and it's good for Eastbourne Borough."
Cook is expected to be in the Sports' squad for the visit of Altrincham in Blue Square Bet Premier on Saturday.
