Brodie spent three and a half seasons with York before joining Crawley
Crawley Town striker Richard Brodie says it has taken time for him to settle at the Broadfield Stadium.
Brodie, who joined Crawley from York in August, scored 26 league goals last season but has managed just three in 10 games since joining the Reds.
The 23-year-old told BBC Sussex: "I've come to another part of the country and people don't realise how much it takes someone to settle in.
"I've just moved into a flat on my own. It's been very difficult."
Crawley's 3-2 defeat by Newport County has seen them replaced at the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier by AFC Wimbledon, but Brodie insists that the Reds will be in contention for promotion at the end of the season.
"We're a team who are going places and we will be up there at the end of the season," said Brodie. "I think we've got a great chance of winning it."
