Eastbourne Borough assistant manager Nick Greenwood says his side will be relegated if they do not improve on their recent performances.

Borough lost 4-3 to Tooting & Mitcham in their FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay and are 18th in the league.

"The players have threatened to produce good performances but not consistently enough," Greenwood told BBC Sussex.

"It's not a recipe to continue to keep our Blue Square Premier status so we need to do something about it."

Eastbourne, who are 17 games into their second Blue Square Premier season, have won just four games in the current campaign and sit just five points clear of the relegation places.

"It's not working," Greenwood added. "You can see that, the results prove that.

"There are one or two green shoots but it's not enough and we need to sit down seriously and make some hard decisions about where we go from here."
