East Stirlingshire have signed former Dundee defender Craig Tully from promoted Arbroath.

The Third Division club have also agreed new contracts with defenders David King and Stephen Oates after the pair put pen paper on one-year deals.

Tully, 32, joins the club after a successful season with Arbroath in Division Three.

He has had previous spells with highland outfits Ross County, Peterhead and Elgin City.

Shire boss Jim McInally was a teammate of Tully's at Dundee and told the club's website he is delighted to have no nonsense defender on board for next season.

MY SPORT: DEBATE

"Craig will be a great addition to the squad," he said.

"We can play him either in the middle or at right-back, which is what we want because I don't think I will stick to either a back three or a back four rigidly throughout the season."

McInally is also happy to finally tie defensive duo King and Oates down after previous contract talks had broken down.
