Dunfermline have signed Andy Dowie after the defender left Ross County and handed new contracts to midfielders Greg Ross and Paul Willis.
But winger Iain Williamson is the latest to be freed by the First Division club.
Manager Jim McIntyre told the Pars' website: "Andy Dowie is a good stature at six foot one and has good physique."
The 26-year-old Dowie made 34 appearances for Dunfermline's Division One rivals this season.
He joined County from Stranraer in 2006, having started his career at Rangers before spells with Brechin City and Partick Thistle.
County had already lost midfielder Richie Hart and striker Sean Higgins to First Division rivals Dundee after the end of the season.
The 22-year-old Ross, whose progress has been hampered by injury, made only 18 appearances this season for Dunfermline but has been given a new one-year contract.
Willis, a 17-year-old who has made two first-team appearances, has committed himself to the Pars for another two years.
The 21-year-old Williamson, who like Ross and Willis is a produce of Dunfermline's youth system, has been released after making only 11 appearances this season, mainly as a substitute.
Dunfermline earlier this week also confirmed that 32-year-old defender Scott Wilson was leaving the club to join Queensland Fury in the Australian A-League.
Veteran captain Scott Thomson, goalkeeper Callum Reidford and youth midfielder Stuart Dearden were released at the end of the season.
