Dundee United defender Darren Dods will miss the Scottish Cup final after being ruled out with a cartilage injury.
The 34-year-old will require surgery on his knee, adding extra pressure to the race to get Andy Webster fit.
Webster has been struggling with a back problem and will be rested for Sunday's league finale at home to Hibernian.
Webster, on loan from Rangers, was withdrawn at half time during Wednesday's 0-0 draw at Hearts but is expected to play at Hampden on 15 May.
United's Paul Dixon remains sidelined with a foot injury and is unlikely to recover in time to meet Ross County at the national stadium.
Meanwhile, forwards Danny Cadamarteri (shoulder) and Francisco Sandaza (hamstring) are doubts.
