Derek Adams' County and Peter Houston's United will meet at Hampden

Dundee United and Ross County have both asked for more tickets for the Scottish Cup final on 15 May.

United have sold more than 20,000 tickets for the match and have asked the Scottish Football Association for another 5,000 tickets.

Meantime, County president Roy McGregor thinks they will take 20,000 supporters to the final in Glasgow.

"I think between the clubs and debenture holders at Hampden the game will be a sell-out," he said.

"We've sold our allocation of 11,000 tickets in just three days and have started to sell another batch of 5,000 which we have received from the SFA.

"People are coming from all over to see the game and we also think a lot of neutrals want to see a final between two clubs who are well respected and liked in the game."

With neither Celtic or Rangers involved in this season's final, some feared that Hampden would not be full for the final.

But United director Derek Robertson said: "Demand for this game has been unprecedented.

"We are hoping for more tickets tomorrow and we think we can sell around 25,000 for the game."

County reached the final with a famous 2-0 win over Celtic, while United, who sit third in the Scottish Premier League, prevented an all-First Division final by beating Raith Rovers by the same score.
