Defender Garry Kenneth has extended his contract until 2012
Dundee United have secured four players on new contracts as the club continues to tie up key men on new deals.
Defender Garry Kenneth and front man David Goodwillie, whose deals did not expire until next season, have both signed extensions until May 2012.
Midfielder David Robertson and striker Kevin Smith have penned two-year extensions until May 2011.
Manager Craig Levein said: "The signings demonstrate our strategy for the immediate and long-term future."
Tannadice defender Darren Dods, 33, is also set to sign an extended contract. He has agreed new terms, with the paperwork expected to be completed next week.
We are making sure that our most promising younger players are secured on longer-term deals
Dundee United manager Craig Levein
Skipper Lee Wilkie, fellow defender Sean Dillon and striker Jon Daly have all committed themselves to the club recently.
"We're not only looking at contracts which expire at the end of this season, we're also looking to the future," Levein told the Dundee United website.
"We are making sure that our most promising younger players are secured on longer-term deals which are beneficial to them - and to Dundee United."
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Warren Feeney has turned down an opportunity to move back to England in order to help United into Europe.
The on-loan Cardiff striker has been the subject of interest from Burnley, Huddersfield and Carlisle.
