Mark Kerr has signed a three-year deal at Tannadice |
Midfielder Mark Kerr has completed his move from Falkirk to Dundee United. Kerr, 21, has been a target for United manager Ian McCall since he moved from the manager's chair at Falkirk in January.
There is no fee for the out-of-contract youngster who signed a three-year deal at Tannadice on Tuesday afternoon.
But Falkirk will be due compensation because the player is under 23.
And the Bairns will be looking for a substantial sum since Kerr has been with them for seven years.
"Mark is delighted to join what is beginning to look like a revolution at the club and we hope he will not be the last player," said McCall.
"I know him very well from his time at Falkirk and I think if he can stay focused he could have a huge future in the game."
Kerr revealed that several other clubs had enquired about him but the lure of working with McCall again had proved too hard to resist.

"I had a great time at Brockville and am grateful to them for giving me my chance, but the time was right to move on and my agent spoke to quite a few clubs over the summer. "Clubs in England were interested in me but it wasn't about the money.
"I know the manager well and he wants to push me as hard as he can and make me into a better player, so that made up my mind to come here."
McCall hopes former Rangers midfielder Derek McInnes will be coming to Tannadice in the near future.
West Brom have agreed to release McInnes from the final year of his contract after their relegation from the English Premiership and due to the player's desire to return to Scotland.
He has agreed terms with United, but the move will only be confirmed once the Midlands outfit receive clearance for his replacement. West Brom will confirm the signing of Macedonia captain Artim Sakiri once he receives a work permit.
United are also interested in Falkirk striker Lee Miller, although Aberdeen have also been linked with the player.
McCall last week signed goalkeeper Tony Bullock from Ross County.
Defenders Alan Archibald and Scott Paterson had already arrived at the club from Partick Thistle, while winger Barry Robson came from Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
