Andrew Shinnie is returning to Dens Park on loan

Dundee have signed Rangers youngster Andrew Shinnie for a second time on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old Aberdeen-born player made 20 appearances for Dundee last season after joining Jocky Scott's side in November 2008.

Midfielder Shinnie, who has made two first-team starts for Rangers, is a former captain of the Ibrox club's Under-19 side.

Shinnie has won two caps for Scotland at under-21 level, scoring once.
