Dundee have signed former Aberdeen and Ross County goalkeeper Derek Soutar as cover until January.
First choice number one Rab Douglas will miss three weeks after a calf injury forced him to leave the field during Tuesday's win over Aberdeen.
The Dark Blues' other goalkeeper Tony Bullock faces a possible ban after his red card at Queen of the South in the league last weekend.
Soutar returns to the club where he began his career in 1998.
For most of his first spell at Dens Park Soutar was understudy to Douglas and then Julian Speroni.
During those eight years he spent several periods on loan at lower-league clubs before moving to Aberdeen in 2006.
The 30-year-old was a free agent after leaving Ross County in the summer.
