Gretna midfielder Niall Henderson has signed for Third Division Dumbarton on loan until January. But, although the 19-year-old signed in time to play in Tuesday's Challenge Cup game against East Stirlingshire, his debut has been delayed.
Sons secretary David Prophet told his club website: "He's nursing an injury and won't be risked."
Henderson has represented Northern Ireland at Under-19 level.
