Doncaster Rovers have completed the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Simon Gillett on a free transfer.
The Southampton academy player has agreed a two-year contract at the Keepmoat Stadium.
"Simon came in and was a seamless fit for us, when Brian [Stock] was injured," Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"He knows he has a fight on his hands to get into the team, but he also knows he'll be given that chance."
