Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll says there has been no official approach from Grimsby Town for assistant manager Richard O'Kelly.
The 51-year-old has been linked with the vacant post at Blundell Park, following Alan Buckley's departure.
"I've not had an approach. Whatever happens is Richard's decision," O'Driscoll told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"He's old enough to make his own decisions, but he knows how much I value him here."
O'Kelly made 39 appearances for Grimsby as a player in the late 1980s, before his career was ended by injury.
He joined O'Driscoll as assistant manager at Bournemouth in 2004, and moved to Doncaster with him two years later.
