Jason Price believes he is now fit and ready to challenge for a place in the Doncaster Rovers first-team.

The striker has missed the start of the season due to injury but scored a hat-trick in a 'behind closed doors' friendly against Darlington on Tuesday.

"Five or six games have already gone and it's killing me not being on the pitch," Price told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"I just want to play and I hope I've done enough to get a place on the bench against Birmingham this Saturday."
