Keogh has turned down a new deal with Bristol City
Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll will decide on trialist defenders Issoumaila Dao and Richard Keogh after Rovers' friendly against Bolton on Friday.
Ivorian former Toulouse player Dao and Bristol City's Irishman Keogh have both featured in pre-season for the club.
O'Driscoll told BBC Radio Sheffield: "Both boys have done well. Richard can play in various positions and Dao is an international that catches the eye."
Meanwhile, James Coppinger and James O'Connor have signed new deals.
The key pair have extended their current contracts until 2011.
Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll said: "The players have compromised a bit on what they think they are worth. Everybody has tried to come out of it so everybody benefits."
Rovers have signed defenders Matt Mills and Jos van Nieuwstadt this week.
